The Galveston Marine Shipyard located at 6200 Harborside Dr., Galveston, TX 77554, allows for repairs on deep draft vessels, tugs, barges, and offshore/ supply type vessels. The 310′ x 95′ graving dock will accommodate multiple vessels & sizes with drafts up to 12’. The graving dock is also used for constructing large floating concrete caisson units and floating docks.
J.W. Kelso Company, Inc. (JWK) is able to cast square pre-stressed concrete piling along with pre-stressed deck slabs and concrete sheet piling. A distinct advantage with JWK’s precast/pre-stress yard is that all products can be directly loaded onto a barge to avoid any trucking freight.
